Spark of Hope is an independent organization of Canadians dedicated to improving the human condition and alleviating poverty in the world's most marginal regions. By working closely with local communities, Spark of Hope strives to make a meaningful and sustaining difference in the lives of the Goharabadi people. The first step on this journey is the provision of access to basic education to every child in the village. It is this education that will be the spark for change, providing youth with the opportunity, knowledge and know-how to choose their destiny.
Spark of Hope is founded on the principle that children with access to quality education, education that inspires, challenges, enlightens, and encourages, will have the skills and determination from which to build a prosperous and peaceful future. Education is the bridge to achieving a more productive future; Spark of Hope is the bridge that links Canadians with vulnerable communities who possess the motivation, but lack the resources to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and malnutrition.
Spark of Hope was registered as a foundation in the Northern Areas of Baltikstan in 2004.
